What's active cars?

I voted turbos although I thought two-way telemetry was pretty neat.

Movable aero for sure. I can definately see why it's banned but it would be a really neat feature to see on the cars.

Active cars are F1 cars that used high technology driver assists that were banned after 1993.

They include:

Active hydraulic suspention
fully automatic gear changing
two-way telemetry
anti-lock brakes
tracting control
4 wheel sterring
CVT transmission (Not normally considered with other active technologies, but Williams tested it!)

Turbos, 2 reasons:

1 - the sound.
2 - the pure numbers... imagine saying, i drive a racing car with 1400bhp. Or something along those lines.

Wow, thats a hard one, but I have to go for Chapman's last great idea, when it was banned he fought so hard to have it reinstated its been suggested the pressure killed him. The saddest part is, unlike the other options, it was never raced so we could never witness its awesome potential, and I've no doubt had it been allowed at some point half the feild would have developed one.

Twin Chassis all the way.

Moveable Aero - it's just so neat and arguably also included active ride in the same thinking.

One I would like to see listed is mounting the wings onto the wheel hubs (like the orginal 1968 F1 cars).

So obvious really - place the aero loads directly onto the tyres.

Fan cars are a great idea - but frankly could have got ridiculous

Movable aero and ground effect :D
G´s and all about G´s baby

Think, the ground effect + 1/2 the downforce from the wings...
if you hit a bump and loose the ground effect, the wings change their position so you get their max and you wont´t go off track. That´s why they were banned, because the risk right

Ground effect can be deadly. If the skirt jumps, the pressure above and below the car equilizes immdiately, effectively turing a giving a Lotus 78 the grip of a Lotus 72!

If this happens in a turn, you could expect to be thrown into the barbaric barriers they used at deadly speed.

Before it was banned, teams were looking into g-suits because of the extreme cornering forces.

Aha, if you skirt jumps sensor measures the distance and if it sees that is far from the ground it moves the wings at higher angle of attack and you compensate for the loose of the ground effect... I think it may work

What skirt jump? The on-board HAL9000 would of course anticipate such an event by giving exactly the length of skirt needed. This minimizes skirt wear and improves grip.
