I'm wondering when Renault & RBR will start bargain about some rules changes

Wow, that is......I don't know.....

With those outside temperatures, those few laps, I doubt that it's purely a packaging issue......if it's the engine unit I hope Renault can fix it prior to Australia

They will have to fix it before then if they want to compete the rest of this season I feel. Doesn't seem to be a particularly good situation or indication of things to come...especially for RBR.
Think Ferrari, Merc and Macca will be smiling a bit? 8)

I am sure this year will be back the middle season tests that Ferrari have been asking for the last few years. After seeing what it is going on in Redbull garage and rest of renault teams

If I'm not mistaken, weren't GP2 cars posting 1:24 and 1:25 testing in Jerez last year?

Any news on Kimi and Ferrari? Last thing they said on twitter was that they are getting ready for afternoon program, after that Kimi just did a single installation lap about 30 minutes ago...

Actually Kimi made 3-4 installation laps in last 30 minutes...I think they're playing with some setup...

Mercedes and Ferrari have done quite some multiple lap stints, but I fear Renault is much more down on that count.
Timing links are a bit unreliable for testing, but some are listed here  http://www.f1technical.net/forum/viewto ... =1&t=17757

Autosport commentary page is the most useful, they gave the following summary an hour ago:
13:07 So, with just under three hours to go, a quick summary of the positions and laps completed so far:

1 Button, (McLaren) 1m27.556s, 32 laps
2 Perez, (Force India) 1m28.376s, 27 laps
3 Rosberg, (Mercedes) 1m29.231s, 24 laps
4 Bottas, (Williams) 1m37.762s, 17 laps
5 Raikkonen, (Ferrari) 1m38.272s, 16 laps
6 Vettel, (Red Bull) 1m38.320s, 8 laps
7 Gutierrez, (Sauber) 1m41.798s, 33 laps
8 Ericsson, (Caterham) no time, 1 lap
Autosport are reporting that Vettel has gone home!

take it easy I think that in these days more than a matter of how many laps you do is that you are able actually to go out whenever you want and for how many laps you want and so far ferrari seems to have no problems in this regard.
maybe they are doing some aero test or something...

And now a smoking Merc engine:
Image
14:01 There is now a cover over the Force India and they are about to try lifting it onto a truck. The marshals seem to be taking some care around the rollhoop area, so they could be worried about the regenerative energy systems.
