Good guess. But the T91 monocoque was not different from the T87, T88 and T88B in terms of construction.
Remember : the McLaren MP4/1 and the Lotus T87 made their debut at the 1981 US West Coast GP at Long Beach with two very different approach.
1) carbon composite monocoque (moulded) for the MP4/1 build by Hercules.
2) layered aluminium/carbon panels factory made by Lotus with special bounding technique (cut and fold) for the T87.
One year, later at he 1982 US West Coast GP a small team made it to the grid next to the McLaren MP4/1 and the Lotus T91 with an original monocoque using carbon composite. That small team was the third using carbon in their monocoque design almost a year before the bigger outfit like Brabham, Ferrari and Renault...
Hints : that chassis construction mode became mandatory in the CART Indy Series. The engineer was very successfull in the CART championship, winning a lot of CART races and the Indy 500 several times.
