Tell us how is this better than NFS. It can also show its fudged physics through telemetry.

I'm not going too. The guys at ISR are known too play all Pc sims and console sims. So they are a much better judge than me. You dont have too believe me, just listen too what they say. "Best Physics on console, NO DOUBT ABOUT IT" :-$

He then goes on to say in the Gran Turismo 6 review that Forza is too grippy and GT has better physics. These guys get paid by T10 to give a good review.

He says its the best Physics on Playstation, he destroys GT6 in that review. GT6 is full of fails. Go to gtplanet for a laugh. The Gt series is going down the drain, those guys cant even get the engine sounds right after 6 games. 'The worst sounds in ALL of simracing'

And yes suprise suprise Forza wins.

Interesting trivia regarding why GPL was done as vintage racing:

Given PC power at the time, the developers could only simulate the 4 corners and tires without a lot of aero. Seriously!

Also, what kind of rig or patches do you guys use to run it on current hardware? I no longer PC game, much less have a 3dfx card laying around, but still do have my much loved GPL box. :)

By that logic, mario kart is also a sim because it's the best on nintendo.

Stopped using it since they released lotus 49 in iracing.

I wouldn't say it gets destroyed. Final score was 7-6 to Fort-zah and that's taking damage and sounds out of the equation which to me don't really matter to me in a sim game. That's pretty respectable considering GT is running on hardware 16 times less powerful than the Xbone.

What pc sim would you guys recommend?

I only care about physics, graphics doesn´t bother me at all, I can play a good sim watching finger size pixels, but I can´t play playstation arcade games even if the graphics looks 100% real...

I was a Grand Prix Legends fan around 10 years ago, what´s the current GPL?

iRacing has good real life data and spectacularly accurate tracks tire model is still in semi-beta state though
Assetto corsa has good physics and a little less accurate tracks than iracing. FFB is a little worse than iracing and there is no multiplayer yet.
LFS has good physics although it doesn't have many real cars or tracks.

Both iracing and assetto corsa have lotus 49 so thay are the current GPL-s ;)

Iracing, Live for Speed and Rfactor are the really good ones for PC. You might wanna check http://www.insidesimracing.tv/ These guys know everything about sims and the hardware you need for it.

Got anything too prove your point?

I played both iRacing and rFactor 2 and I'd say both are very good sims. I'd say to give both of them a chance.

I don't need to prove anything but look what it says at genre:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Forza_Motorsport_5
and compare it to pages about actual sims like this one:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Assetto_Corsa
The video you posted earlier helps a lot in proving my point too. Without it I would have needed to actually play the game. Now I know it just fakes its tire simulation.

Any chance of an objective discussion in here? If this was an F1 thread would have been closed by now.

Some posts have been edited. Focus on the post not the poster.
