Very odd timing...
Toro Rosso fires chief designer

The Faenza based team has ended the contract with Luca Furbatto, their chief designer, with immediate effect. The Turin born engineer worked on the new STR9 in close collaboration with Technical Director James Key.

Mclaren recruited two more people in February 2014.
The first is Matt Dunn, an aerodynamic design engineer from Torro Rosso. Before Torro Rosso he worked at L-3 Communications, and before that he had a short time (6 months) at the begining of 2012, at Mclaren Automotive.
The second is Stephen Watt, who came frome EM Motorsport, where he was general manager. Before that he was head of electronics at Hispania Racing and Super Aguri. Between this periods, he was electronic systems consultant at Menard Competition Technology. I think that this is a very good signing, because it's totally not characteristic to Mclaren to poach an engineer from outside and put him directly head of electronics. All the new people who came from 2012 until now, at the begining of their work at Mclaren had lower positions in a department, and after some time they started to evolve in the company.

Another two more people coming at Mclaren.
Brian McIlwaine came in February 2014, as a design engineer from Rolls Royce. He is an experienced engineer in Aerospace and Motor Sport. He has one of the most highest salaries at Mclaren Racing. (rumour from outside the F1 world, don't know if it is true).
The second is Adam Painter, a composite engineer, who came from Force India in January 2014.
