So for everybody: please respect the other's opinion. You might see it from your point of view, until the stewards made a decision I'd like to call this "Schrodinger's Monaco", so please refrain from making anything black and white.
You jump and call people fanboys YET you dont know who is right or wrong. You my friend are the biggest fanboy of the lotJimClarkFan wrote:turbof1 wrote:Correct. I'm sorry, but fanboyism and being biased towards a driver because you are a fan of that driver are not the same thing.
Biased is backing your favourite driver in a uncertain situation yet acknowleding you could be wrong.
Fanyboyism is taking a biased view, ignoring that there could be any doubt, and suggesting that it is 'obvious' therefore implying no further evidence is required.
Fanboyism below
''If Nico is asked, why did you saw at the wheel as if you were milking a cow?
What do you think he could say that would sound plausible?''
Fanboyism - Implying that there was no doubt in anyone elses mind that Nico might have made a mistake.
''Under investigation..
Imo there's nothing to investigate. The whole pitlane says it was on purpose. Just look at how he's simulating a tankslapper way before the normal braking zone on a hotlap. Schumi Rascass..''
Fanboyism - implying it is obvious to everyone, implying that nobody in the pit lane too a different view, implying that there is nothing to investigate
''Sure, all the fanboys all across the pitlane are talking out of their ***.
Fanboyims - Implying that there was no one on the pitlane who thought it was a genuine mistake
''Rosberg has turned in far too early there. Putting steering angle on the car during heavy braking is the easiest way to lock the brakes. Binning it into the wall would be too obvious and is far more work to rectify for the team.''
Fanboyism... again
Your reading comprehension is poor.NathanOlder wrote: You jump and call people fanboys YET you dont know who is right or wrong. You my friend are the biggest fanboy of the lot
It is the reversing which was wrong, I think the lock up might be genuine, it looked suspicious but I would give the benefit of the doubt without any further evidence to hand.NathanOlder wrote:
Thats why I say, he made a genuine mistake, then realise "---, im out the way, back it up a bit" IMO
Exactly the point being made - that while there are clearly fans in this thread, no one is making fan boyish arguments, hence, no one is being a fanboy.JimClarkFan wrote:turbof1 wrote:Correct. No, that's not in any way fan boyish. That's asking a valid question - why did nico saw at the steering wheel when the car was apparently not out of shape?''If Nico is asked, why did you saw at the wheel as if you were milking a cow?
What do you think he could say that would sound plausible?''
Fanboyism - Implying that there was no doubt in anyone elses mind that Nico might have made a mistake.
No, this is stating a fact - that Ted had stated that he had asked a lot of the people in the pit lane their opinion, and they unanimously agreed that it was deliberate. Whether it was deliberate or not is not a fact, but that lots of people in the pit lane agreed that it was their opinion that it was deliberate *is* a fact.''Under investigation..
Imo there's nothing to investigate. The whole pitlane says it was on purpose. Just look at how he's simulating a tankslapper way before the normal braking zone on a hotlap. Schumi Rascass..''
Fanboyism - implying it is obvious to everyone, so don't look at the facts
No, not fanboyism, just misinterpreting a misquoted statement. Ted stated that he had asked several team bosses and several engineers, and they all agreed that it was deliberate.''Sure, all the fanboys all across the pitlane are talking out of their ***.
Fanboyims - Implying that there was no one on the pitlane who thought it was a genuine mistake
How is an opinion that he turned in early fanboyism in any way?''Rosberg has turned in far too early there. Putting steering angle on the car during heavy braking is the easiest way to lock the brakes. Binning it into the wall would be too obvious and is far more work to rectify for the team.''
Fanboyism
Did he ask all the pitlane? Was there no one that said it might have been an accident? What is the fact, that he quoted Ted's opinion or was the fact that the whole pitlane thought it was deliberate a fact... because one is opinionbeelsebob wrote:...

Exacly, but notice how certain people have latched on to a comment by Ted K, and notice how it has been twisted into somehow being a fact that the entire pitlane thought it was deliberate. The only fact is that Ted K statement was quoted correctly, the veracity of what he said cannot be validated and is unlikely to be true.turbof1 wrote:Some of the things said were fueled by a comment from Ted Cravitz. A very unlucky one. I already commented on that; you can't take everything at face value. Hell, for which drivers are those guys cheering in the first place? It could very well be they are a fan of Alonso or Vettel.
There are limits of course, and the whole point of my post was to keep everybody from implying everybody is a fanboy, with a duly note opinions should be handled with respect. That's a clear cut message no?
