Thank you. Alonso was breaking at the " Much too late " point here !

The what and the what... what what what?RZS10 wrote:Apparently MGP failed to take precautions after seeing that the temps in the Control Unit were getting too high ... seriously ... wtf -.-
Mercedes Team Principal Toto Wolff had to admit compunctiously that the MGU-K failure could have been avoided. The high temperatures in the Control Unit were recognized but countermeasures were applied too late.
This says it all really.Q: So how did you make it past Perez in the end?
“Sergio braked early. They ran into brake problems and it got progressively worse. That’s the only reason I even got a chance to overtake. It was obvious we could have gone faster and Felipe caught our bunch quite rapidly, too. The pace of the Force India was quite slow, but they were clever and defended well. We just didn’t have the oomph to get past.”
“In the end it luckily worked out for me. I came out of the last corner well and he missed his breaking point. That brought us side-by-side. I went out of the slip-stream – DRS open, engine on full pelt and could see him still pull away. Well that’s just frustrating. His DRS is closed, mine is open and that should make about a 15 kph difference and even then we go nowhere. That was that for my race, because we couldn’t came up with something clever in terms of strategy.”
Indeed, add to the equation that Hulkenberg has older tyres so he couldn't brake as late as he would want to, that was really close!Gonner wrote:

I remember it was shown before the 2nd half of the race ( I think around lap 33) and I only remember Rosberg had used ~46 kilos of fuel while Hamilton had used ~44.jz11 wrote:Is there such a thing as fuel consumption chart per car per race available anywhere?
I also didn't notice the graph (on sky sports) they usually show from time to time during the race
I think I saw in one replay (Marussia incident perhaps) that one Lotus (supposedly Maldo) jumping over kerbs, and later had some sort of bodywork damage (the fin near the side pod entry was loose), and GRO had rear wind side plate damage near the end of the race - they would/should have been black flagged if they would continue racing with those parts loose on the carsAnthonyG wrote:What actually happend to both Lotus cars?
And what caused Raikkonen's spin? That one looked to have a mechanical reason.
And why does that excuse him swerving off the racing line?Dragonfly wrote:Perez had no rear brakes left.
If anything, he should've refrained from fighting if the problem was this dramatic.beelsebob wrote:And why does that excuse him swerving off the racing line?Dragonfly wrote:Perez had no rear brakes left.
