Formula one setup models

Post

Hi there
I am currently studying a Degree in motorsport engineering. For my final year project I am planning on creating a program which can be used to determine the ideal setup for a formula renault car competing in the UK formula renault championship.
I remember hearing that some of the top F1 teams use this sort of thing to give them a rough idea of how the setup should be for different circuits and conditions. Does anyone know of any references to this on the net?
Any help would be much appreciated
Regards
