Anyone know what the diameter of the 4-2-1 headers on the Lotus 49? I'm out of town right now and have limited resources to look up this kind of info as easily as I normally can from home (in fact I have blueprints at home). I've been wanting to re-create these headers, for a full size Lotus 49 simulator we have, out of PVC or similar material, and just ran across the ultimate tool for doing this... Pretty stoked about it in fact and can hardly wait to start the fabrication. Problem is, I need to know the correct diameter in order to get my order placed and have it shipped in time for me to have something to start playing with once I get back to the shop next week. Anyone know this or have a good resource handy to look this up? I tried googling it, but not having much luck so far...
It is interesting that the primary pipe diameter chosen for the DFV gave a geometrical
expansion ratio from the twin exhaust ports of about 1.7 after an equivalent conical diffuser
angle of 6°. The primary-plus-secondary pipe lengths (15" + 15" (0.76m)) are estimated to
have been tuned to about 7,500 RPM (see Note 83).
