Ask for 27th International Vienna Motor Symposium 2006 paper

All that has to do with the power train, gearbox, clutch, fuels and lubricants, etc. Generally the mechanical side of Formula One.

Is it mostly engines? The 2005 (I think) Mitsubishi technical review had stuff on how they wanted to make the doors make a specific Mitsubishi-only knock and stuff with some interesting analyses, unusual, but none the less interesting stuff :).

It is purely about engines...

The papers expose the design process from the scratch almost.
They have very detailed graphics also.

And there are a lot of papers that talks about future technologies that manufacturers are developing for road cars... like EGR, Particle filters, new catalizers, new type of inyectors, etc...

Send me a mail and I´ll give them to you, the problem is that I dont know how or where to upload them!

Here are 2 articles on 2/4 engines. A specific article on the variable geometry vane Porsche Bi-Turbo and 1.6L CNG Turbo were not readily available. Belatti - Will your University library computer services be available to upload once the new term begins?

On a related subject Ford International today announced $500M-USD for an R&D developement centre for Argentina and Brazil as well as 2 production plants. The project is to design and build high-tech small dsiplacement cars specifically for the S American market. Ford will probably also form relationships with Universities in both countries.

Carlos, its good news what you tell, in fact my University was born from Ford´s plant technical school in the 70´s (there are still good old teachers from that era here)

But I´m afraid Brazil will take all and leaves us nothing (thats what always happen in SA, as Brazil market is 5 to 1 to Argentina, taking into account that they have 1L alcohol flex fuel engines in the 80% of their car market)
