Engine sound recordings (audio or video)

Hi folks,


I need some 2006-7 sounds for making a realistic (first ever) V8 sound pack for my favorite racesim F1 Challenge.

The problem is that I need recordings that contain as long as a 1-4 seconds of engines staying level at 4 levels of rpm (including Idle and max) + a sound of limited max rpm (with stuttering) to take proper samples.

Does anyone have a clue about where to find these? Any audio or video format will do.

Of course that will be uneasy to find so if you have at least something to contribute, please do.

I don't have the needed thinks but I think there are enough of these
sounds out there for the game.
I rather would like if somebode would make some cool team comentarys

That would be cool too, but you need to reprogram the game for that. While to get more or less realistic sounding V8s all I need is a decent sound editor (SoundForge in my case) and a MSnotepad.
The problem with the existing sounds for F1C is that they don't acually work properly, they're glitchy, some have limiter 'stutter' appearing at random rpm and time, clicks and alike. I figured out how to make the limiter sound appear exactly where it should be (tested that with the V10 2005 sounds by RH/Emac team). I just need the proper samples now.
