Honda 500HP
What if for the incoming 2 years (16/17)
engines are artificialy restricted by the FIA ( air intake rings for example)
and the regulated outputs are
MB 550
Fe 530
re 520 no restrictor
Honda 500 no restrictor
Engines shall be tested by FIA and they will equailize
during those 2 years manufactures will do the catch up and afer that free again
those that have advantage will keep it but no so big as today

Rules has to be equal for all, and it is actually the engine provider that has to cope with the rules.

restricting output of engines is no good unless the current PU's produce explosive outputs of 1985's, although they can introduce new client engines in F1 something like Ford DFV in addition to the current engine formula for the sake of the sport and its midfield teams.

The other teams like Ferrari and Red Bull have the resources to cope with them. When Vettel won 4 in a row no-one complained. I think this has more to do with the brand rather the results. If Ferrari were in Mercedes position I am sure that Eccelstone also would have been happy.
