Honda RA615H's Axial/Mixed Flow Compressor

Post

Hey guys

Just wanted to start a formal discussion group on Honda's innovative turbo compressor configuration. I know there is an on going discussion through out the Honda PU pages but I wanted to make a place for anyone to post picture, relavent research or general information on this compressor setup.

Is a true axial compressor or more of a mixed flow?

What are the pros and cons of this configuration?

What boost pressures can Honda achieve compared to the other manufacture's configuration?

It has been discussed at depth in the engine thread already. It is not axial for sure.
The images that Honda put out looked like regular centrifugal.. however some weer saying that the actual thing could be a mixed flow compressor. Note that the other teams could be using mixed flow compressors as well... you never know until you see a photo of the actual compressor pulled apart.
