Disagree that it shouldn't have counted. Slower out of the corner, but got himself into play by going side by side through blanchimont. That's very brave stuff, and considering the move was far from done until bus stop, I think those saying that move should be discounted under the track limits rule are just being negative. You want passing and action or not?

Definatley brave stuff, but 1 simple question answers this one in my opinion. Did Max gain an advantage by going off the track ? In my opinion, yes certainly. in the video at about 3min 02sec, He had room to stay 2 wheels on the track but wasnt able to due to the speed he was carrying, If he stayed on track he would have had to lose some speed and maybe wouldnt have been able to make the move into the bus stop.
everyone wants passing and action, but it would be nice for some consistency from the race stewards ( i know im dreaming)

Anyway , its not worth the arguement, it was still a very good move. Lets hope for plenty like this for this season.

Grosjean in Hungary 13 or 14 was one of the best moves of that season, but discounted for being off track.

The only consistency that stewards have is their inconsistency.
