"It’s very close between Ferrari and us – and another team might be there as well," Rosberg has told Sky Sports News HQ.
Sounds good, hope it´s true.

Which other team, I wonder?

I'm imagining Williams but hoping TR.

Is there any official update on why the Mclaren stopped on track?

Now that I actually watched the interview, i don't think he was referring to anyone in particular.

Just kinda saying "yeah and maybe someone else we don't know for sure "

I still wonder if Mercedes really believe Ferrari are that close but certainly hope it's what the data shows

think Ros was referring to Force India.
I don't think anyone is going to be close to Merc judging from what we are seeing from them. Unless Vettel put that US tyre time with a full tank last week. Worrying

I think Williams and Red Bull are going to be there in some races.

Well, at least the Merc has finally had a reliability issue!

Rosberg has said that run from this morning was a proper quali sim - he might be lying, so you never know. But there are rumours Ferrari had 50kg on the US stints last week, plus that the engine isn't turned up, so we could still find out that they're as close as Rosberg is saying.

It's all speculation of course, but then, so is this whole thread.

Disaster for merc lol :p

Well that's what some idiots were saying when McLaren broke down last time.
Finally, everyone knows that Red Bull is a joke and Max Verstappen is overrated.

He is not lying!! If you look at what I posted earlier you could see he did only 3-4 laps on both medium and soft while Kimi did his fastest on his 6th lap then some cooldown laps and he pitted and came back (probably after some setup work) and was just 0.060 slower than his best time but that was maybe his 9th or 10th run on those medium tyres.

According to Autosport
"21:29 No cool-down laps for Raikkonen, he's still pushing and posts a 1m26.5s on the third timed lap of this run on mediums."

"21:42 Raikkonen puts Ferrari on top after Verstappen and Rosberg post fastest times in quick succession

It's clear that Raikkonen was not running with low fuel or doing a Quali run as he was out the whole 13mins on medium tyres and according to "F1Today.net" he did not pit and was out the whole time even though I think Autosport posted his fastest time a couple of minutes late, it's safe to say he did this time on his 6th or 7th run and maybe 4-5 mins earlier then when Autosport posted it. Anyone know if Rosberg posted his fast time in first test on a low fuel run?
I learn from the mistakes of people who take my advice...

Rosberg also said last year in testing his 1.22,8 on softs wasn't a good time, as in he's certain other teams can beat it. The guy sandbags so much it's getting too obvious now.

It's only speculative because some people choose to be that way. Some people have sense and don't speculate.

Ferrari is doing everything that Merc is doing. A Ferrari broke down at the pit exit. :D
