F1 2016 pre-season testing

If FIA insisted Ferrari to test this today then its highly uncalled for. Ferrari losing key testing time I feel.

It was only for 1 Lap, they don't lose anything. They can Test their things simultaneously. It was just a visibility Check.

They have used it only for a few laps, it seems that they will not use it again.

Why Ferrari test it so early?

FIA has required Ferrari to check it.

It looks awful, really. And as I driver I wouldnt like to drive with this thing.

Yeah. All the while they put rakes on the car to validate aerodynamics data.
Today we have seen a new'rake' on driver's head.

We just saw Kimi's car with a Halo, Kvyat's car with a huge rake and we feel bad cause nobody told us it was Funny Appendages Day.

I would rather see the canopy any day over that dreadful halo. The whole disadvantage of the canopy is driver evacuation, but honestly if the car was flipped do you really thing anyone is going to be able to crawl through the side openings in the halo?

I particularly think this is a political maneuver .

Ferrari is testing this system , then, they put their veto for it.

they will defend themselves by saying that they work for security, they were the first to test these systems etc...
