I admire your ambition but Barcelona's shadow will loom large over this championship until its conclusion.

RB12 in the hands of Verstappen is going be great, since Max has always had a fetish for narrow street tracks!!!!!!

No:
- A. out-qualified by Sainz and two slower cars (Perez, Maldo), crash in the race
- B. He's probably getting older spec engine as a consolation prize for Ricciardo for Spanish GP strategy :-). Btw did you notice how similar Rosberg's '15 Monaco win was to Barcelona? I don't recall people fainting and calling him driver of the day, unlike D.R. everyone was focusing on Hamilton and not the brilliant winner.

The fact that Renault are not providing their own drivers with new engines shows how amateurish and lukewarm their approach to running full team is. In 2 years the corporate ignorant will be surprised again finishing 9th.

Last year, I seem to remember that Max made most of his overtakes by following cars through when he was blue flagged. Now that he will be on the lead lap, he can't put that to any use. As for Renault, I thought it was a poorly kept secret that it'll be 1 new PU for KMag and 1 for Ricciardo. They can't get one for Palmer or Verstappen because of 'manufacturing issues' - I hadn't heard that both PUs would be going to RBR.

P1 for him then, in qualy and race. unless RB is set back by FIA tyre pressure anti-cheat-initiatve
Seriously.. In one race Redbull have not only leapfrogged Ferrari but they have Leapfrogged Mercedes too. Do you honestly believe that..sure Redbull had a strong race last race but do u really believe they are the class of the field..I agree thay will be alot closer to the top but I would rather say that its going to be a duel between the top 3 teams in Monaco.
THIS! A lot of people are buying into the red bull PR blitz...2 messups by Ferrari in 2 qualifying sessions and the Red bull machine will have you buying into the spin that red bull is on par with Ferrari...
Now we have this 5 tenths alleged engine upgrade that will be a game changer.. seen this movie before and it always ends up being a disapointing ending and that goes for EVERY team on the grid...hype hype hype and then when the public actually gets to see these upgrades the response is always meeeh thats it???

RBR certainly looks stronger this year, but I doubt they'll be able to take the fight to Mercedes yet. I do think they could steal WCC second place from Ferrari, though.

Everybody always says how Monaco is a boring race, and I don't get that. I think it is one of the best of the year.

Sure, there is not a lot of overtaking going on, but the track and scenery is awesome, and something always happens here.

Finishing races is important, but racing is more important.

Sainz was P8 and Verstappen was P10 in qualli.
The race went good for Verstappen right until the moment he encountered the Lotus off Grojean.
Sainz finnished the race P10.

And Kvyat was P4, Ricciardo was P5.

I think it will be difficult for Verstappen to do better than Ricciardo, so i agree with you on that.
Iff he does do better then his teammate, then :wtf:

About the Renault thing, nothing has been confirmed who will get the new engines.
I hope Renault puts them in the back of their own F1 cars.
But on the other hand i can see why they might give one to RB, because it will be sweet for Renault if they (RB) finish on the podium, with their upgraded engine.

Worst race of the year for me (and lets face it - it's up against some stiff competition), the glitz and history just cannot make up for the lack of overtaking opportunities, the vacuum of strategy options and total lack of action, even the tire offsets mean nothing around here.

The only hope for this race is a wet qually and a wet race.

I am 90% sure that red bull will qualify ahead of ferrari here, they where only a tenth slower than them last year in qualifying and they are considerably faster this year. add to that the fact they cut the gap to merc by 1 whole second inbetween barcelona and monaco last year (probably due to the characteristics of their car) and that maybe theylle get an upgraded engine and theres a good reason to believe theylle win here.

also the red bull chassis is easily the best through tight windy corners. you can see from comparisons. merc and mclaren are about second
