I am studying the effects of a cylinder in ground effect using CFD. I was wondering what would happen the other way around. I mean with the cylinder moving and the ground not moving. What do you think would happen - particularly pressure wise. Its not really a straightfoward answer. Just wondering.

I would imagine there would be no net effect.

say you had an aerofoil at a low angle of attack (6 degrees) and you had 2 different flows - high reynolds and low reynolds flow. which flow do you think would stay more attached to the airfoil?

Low Reynolds number flow should stay have less cause to delaminate from the surface.

Why do you ask? This is basic fluids stuff..
