I have a gripe about our current Poll

Post

The current front page poll refers to the 'rumours' of limiting wind tunnel time.
My gripe is such: none of the options seem the least bit applicable to my position on the matter.
namely that the use of a wind tunnel is the most honest bit of development left to such advanced teams. Nevermind it becoming boring, that's a non sequitur as far as i'm concerned.

Actually what you refer to are not rumours but an official proposition ;)

More specifically to the poll, you are correct that there should have been an option "a limitation is unnecessary" but I don't think that is a realistic approach (and after 800 votes it's probably too late to add the option anyway). The FIA is trying to reduce spending for quite some time and reducing the workforce at the team's bases is by far the most intelligent idea I have heard from the FIA in a long time.

I am pretty sure that the limitations for wind tunnels will initially not be too stringent as several teams have built secondary wind tunnels in recent years. They do not want to give out with such an advantage.

I hardly see prescribing the dialling back of the amount of wind tunnel time as being an effective deterrent to workforce numbers or spending. I know this kind of argument has been brought up for other measures before but in this instance it just sort of smacked me in the face. Honestly this is starting to become a real joke. Their measures aren't going to work except in reducing the profile of the game. Hmm.
