Mercedes W08 Speculation Thread

A place to discuss the characteristics of the cars in Formula One, both current as well as historical. Laptimes, driver worshipping and team chatter do not belong here.

The detail already is magnificent, small slots and edges everywhere its allowed.... looks very advanced already and the season hasn't even started yet.

I think most teams already worry after seeing this development...
But such a long car, I wonder how it goes through Monaco streets...

I'm unsure what you mean. The higher the focal length of a lens, the less "out of proportion" it will look. The less the focal length (e.g. a wide angle lens) the more you will have stretching towards the edges of the frame?
Not for nothing, Rosberg's Championship is the only thing that lends credibility to Hamilton's recent success. Otherwise, he'd just be the guy who's had the best car. — bhall II

This starts to remind me a lot of the 2007, 2008 side pod and bargebord vanes. And makes sense to go back to more conventional front suspension, let those bargebords do the work more effeciently, no doubt.

Sorry, you're right,

OT I see they share the pre-suspension camera housings with the Renault. No stalks but hardly aero-neutral (they're not flush).
