Anyone else know which way this thread will go after the race? I'm thinking some fanboy stuff pretty quickly. Already some antifanboy stuff being seen. The mods will be busy tonight...
It's revolting. I agree

May as well back off and save the machinery now boys. Blinding last stint by Hamilton but Vettel has done enough for the win.

Too bad that Verstappen is out of the race because of the brake failure. He would have ended up on the podium for sure. Would have been nice to have the 3 team podium again.

Hamilton greatest driver alive. Awesome to watch.
What's so awesome?
The pitlane thing is dissapointing (unsportsmanlike), but after that he makes the most out of a difficult situation.
To me that is awesome to watch, the fighting spirit.

merc and ham fkd it up like australia again....
ham with the penalty and merc with slow first stops for bottas that stacked onto ham
Also imo they shouldve pitted ham muchj sooner as soon as they got the penalty... those seconds lost cost him the win

How should they have done it, no safety car?

No beating in quail, no points awarded. Only puts you on the front foot for the race.

Mercedes will have to do some serious soul searching in regards to team strategy...

with the rate of the gap decrease at the end, 2 to 3 laps earlier wouldve put ham right near the back of vettel. As soon as Rai was covered they shouldve done it

Yes. That Ferrari is deadly fast in the hands of Vettel. The Finns is both Mercedes and Ferrari are disappointing. I guess it worked against Mercedes that Bottas got the pole position  It cost them the win IMHO, but hey that's me. Hamilton did nicely after his penalty which was truly unnecessary.

At least the gap was over 5 seconds. Ferrari were smart today with the undercut; they realised you can overtake the slower cars here and take full advantage of the undercut.
