I think ITV became overwhelmed anyway so it won't even load for me and I am in the UK.

Other than that, Williams seem to be chilling out at the moment... :P

Edit: And Raikkonen ups the pace again with 2 minutes to go.

Edit #2: Raikkonen again! Fastest in every sector. Should I be scared of these Ferrari's by now?

Did I ever mention I hate little Bernard Ecclestone? WTF. I'm an F1 fan, and I can't watch the damn feed cause I don't live in the exalted UK. I hate that little bastard. The sooner he quits leeching F1 for his own gains, and Max quits mucking with the rules the better.

It's not bernie's fault, it's the broadcaster.
do you think Speed channel wants you getting it off the net for free?

Where the hell do you think THEY get it from?!? Martians? They get it from the FOM, who is controlled by Bernie. Hence why I hate the little ---. And if ITV is going to make me look at stupid ads, like I don't enough already and can't find the damn close icon, then they can give me the damn feed.

And Speed gives highlights for free. Oh, AND THE WHOLE USGP WAS FREE ONLINE!!! Sorry, but you'll have to come up with a better example. Guess it's just easier not to do research.

I don't pretend to know anything about TV (I certainly don't understand why I might need to pay the BBC my licence fee if I'm watching ozzy TV on the net?) but from what I understand ITV payed for the service and speed didn't. To my knowledge ITV doesn't broadcast outside Britain so they don't want people outside Britain being able to look at their show for free.

Its not that ITV don't want people to view it, its Bernie. Bernie will want more and more broadcasters to pay him for this "privalage". If you do get onto the ITV feed page it says in a disclaimer at the bottom that due to copyright they cannot make it avaliable to non-UK users.

They don't care about people outside the UK seeing their show, because that would make their show more marketable to the advertisers, hence they could charge more for advertising slots. (or banners on the website etc.)

Trust me, this is Bernie's doing, why have one companay pay (lets say £1,000,000) for the rights when you could have 15 companies each pay you the same amount.

Bernie "Del Boy" Trotter - oops, I mean Ecclestone - at his best. You gotta love the little guy lol

(That said he has made F1 what it is today)

Good news, seeing as we can't get footage of Free Practice here in the UK...and now everybody can, regardless of where they live because its online.
This is rediculous, the BBC shows FP on the website and on the red button with five live commentry. If they're outside the UK use a proxy...

I really dont understand why ITV have stuck their unwelcomed fingers in the pie as surely the BBC should get all assy on them and bernie as surely "buying rights" means they own all feeds from FOM and now ITV has got some wtf.

Re: Live Feed of Friday Practice

lets be clear about this ,F1 fans who watch on TV with access to the BBC transmissions get the best service available anywhere as far as I can ascertain ; every practise session live with a commentator and comments from a recent F1 driver [ ant davidson . congrats to him for last weeks alms win ], repeats at a more civilised hour when required if their live broadcast is anti social , qualifying , race , followed by a discussion panel including such luminaries as martin brundle and david coulthard , with questions from the fans by email or text

but you don't have to be resident in the UK to access this , nor have internet + a proxy !!!; the BBC broadcast all this by satellite , and it is receivable over a large chunk of europe with the correct satellite receiver [ a british designed digital one ]! ok , if you live somewhere like the south of spain you will need a big dish , but you couldn't go to one GP for the total cost !

and for those who wonder about the references to a red button , on the remote control to the uk receivers there is a red button , pushing this gives access to extra programs , mainly sport ,on a 24 hour basis ; eg today we have F1 , live and repeated , [ in it's entirety for both ],a continuous loop of previous australian GP's ; also the world cycling championship , and various other things that I can't remember

of course , for the moment , there is no HD [ the bbc have broadcasts in HD ] ; but until our bernie provides HD feeds from the track there won't be , will there !
to the optimist a glass is half full ; to the pessimist a glass is half empty ; to the F1 engineer the glass is twice as big as it needs to be

Yeah, the red button thing often mentioned on bbc is confusing. Some may think it's about the reigning world champ joining ferrari.
