Baku is weird, it makes you compromise everything, if you're fast in the slow stuff, you'll be slow in the fast stuff, if you're fast in the fast stuff you'll be slow in the slow stuff.
Just as usual then.

Now that the drivers dont have to baby sit mickey mouse tires, it might actually be a good race with lots of action.

Imo every session last year was great except for the race, due mainly to the mickey mouse tires that couldn't be driven hard. This meant drivers made very few mistakes during the race because they were just cruising around managing tires.

Those narrow sections with drivers actually pushing could be very interesting to watch.
Also we have Stroll who has said that he hasn´t seen the track even in the simulator.

I hope the team manager speaks with both drivers. This "war" is stupid and doesn´t help the team.

Ehhhhhh :?

It's gonna be extremely tight for the new cars and I personally think Ferrari are gonna murder people in sector 2.

With the pens McLaren have might it be worth a team like sauber also introducing new parts this weekend just enough so they still start in front of McLaren

Who would have thought, Perez first into the wall :D And if such thing happens in the race --> 100% Red Flag due to the track being blocked completely.

interesting that the wheel (rim) got ripped off with the drive shaft and the wheel hub stayed on the car ... and the sky commentators were speculating why the cable safety system didn't prevent the wheel from going off #-o

and it's incredible how poorly coordinated the marshals are

Poor Stroll, he was the favourite to make the red flag pole position.

As I said, that narrow section will be truly tricky. More incidents and red flags are yet to come.
