And what's even more bizarre is that the other merc driver also had some problems in every one of those races
Incredibly bizarre that if your car is too slow to win on merrit, you have to profit from other's failures ;-)
Unbelievable, surely it wont happen again for the 6th time, the odds are crazy.
The 6th time was his teammate, Spain last year ;-)

Is it just me or did anyone else feel Bottas deserved a penalty?

What kind of ridiculous luck is Ric carrying? His team mate is doing all the right work to then face bad luck in race. Whereas Ric is poor throughout the weekend except for those lucky moments. I can't recall another driver who was that lucky in one season.
He did pull off some decent overtakes during the race to put himself in a position to ultimately inherit the victory, which admittedly was purely by chance. Max has been very unlucky this season with reliability.

The whole race was a bit of a farce, a win is a win, but I don't really feel like Riciardo or Stroll achieved anything other than being behind cars that had to pit for safety or penalties.
The question is what was the pace of Ricciardo compared to Vettel, Hamilton and Bottas. I can't find the lap times guys ? Because to be honest I have the feeling that RB were better on long run than Ferrari and maybe Bottas.
Ric was rediculously slow compared with Vet or Ham. They put nearly 6 sec in 7 laps on him after the restart and reduced the 22sec gap after the stops down to 6 sec. With a clean race and no SCs this would have ended up in Ric getting lapped...
No chance without the SC and the Mercs and Ferraris taking themselves out.

Ves had a better pace, but no idea how he could have cleared Per.

No penalty. With Ros and Ham the FIA has started judging quite clear, that it is ok to run the car on the outside wide. They did it every second race. In this race this was a bit funny as there was no tarmac runoff, but a wall.

Well, he punted Kimi out. He's done that twice now.. I don't know! I felt he deserved a penalty.

If it would have been an overtaking maneuver form Bottas on Kimi,
probably yes. But now it was Kimi coming on the outside, not enough room for Bottas to go anywhere or brake, then to bounce off the curb into Kimi.

First lap racing incident.

Yeah, I was wondering why he didnt get anything, at the time I wasnt worrying about it as he went a lap down ect, but hen you see him come back to finish 2nd, its then you think, why did he get away with pushing kimi into the wall and wrecking kimi's race.

The stewards seem to not bother if the guy who did it, is also suffering damage. I think they need to change that to a grid penalty for the next race IMO

From the Bottas onboard it looked like he had room, he just carried too much speed in. Doesnt matter now though, Its done and dusted.

To be fair Kimi was squeezing him to the inside to compromise his entry. But I think Bottas should have yielded and slotted behind RAI as there was no way to get through that corner together, from that angle.

Sad part is that, like in Spain, Max was again taken out by Bot and Rai colliding.

I know how incorrect Sebastian was but I couldn't help but allow myself a chuckle when Lewis said 'kids in lower categories.. bla bla'

VET lost at least any right to criticise VER in the near future when he makes some brisk moves ;-)
