2017 F1 Mid-Season Test - Hungaroring, 01-02 August

Post

All eyes will surely be on Kubica in Hungary, but there are plenty of other young drivers taking part in the test. For some it will be a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity, for a lucky few another step towards a long career in F1.

Thanks to skysports.com for the above table, from an article which includes more info on each driver.

From the f1.com feature article Who’s who in this week’s Hungary test?

...McLaren Young Driver Programme member Lando Norris. The 17-year-old Briton is currently enjoying a successful rookie season in the FIA F3 Euro series, lying third in the standings after three wins and 10 podiums to date.

I'm looking forward to what Honda will bring to the test. (I'm hoping for new compressor and MGU-H)

If anyone is interested, f1today has a good live timing.

You not heard of Lando ???? Very talented Kid, I've been following him in the Euro F3 this year, should be leading the title but finds himself 2nd to a Maxi Gunther who has been in there for years, Lando is a rookie and if his car didnt let him down in Pau, he would have probably been leading the championship.

Lando is coming. Give him 3 years and he will be in a Mclaren

He's now 2nd after last weekend. Won 2 out of 3 at Spa. Probably would have won 3 if not for a collision up at Le Combes.

Remember he's currently 2nd in a championship Max only ended 3rd. Lando is 2nd to a guy who has been in that championship 3 years and was runner up last year.
Max was beaten in the championship by a another rookie (Ocon)
So on Euro Formula 3 level (I expect Lando to win the title, he seems to be getting stronger) Ocon & Lando > Max.

It also took Max 6 races to win at this level. Lando won his 1st ever race. Lando has big names in his field Piquet, Schumacher, Newey.

Just trying to put in perspective how good this Kid is.

@NathanOlder, Ocon was not an F3 rookie if i am correct, he already drove F3 in 2013.

Max may not have wonthe F3 season in 2014, but it was his exceptional driving and overtaking skills that made him 'special'.

Ocon is more like a Prost and Max more like a Senna.. both have great potential as we are currently witnessing.

Ps. It took Max only one year to get in F1

Some timing, including a news feed and some relevant tweets.

The site seems to support English, Dutch, Danish and Brazilian Portuguese.
