12 laps so far for Kubika. He has been obviously super cautious so far but things go smoothly . Nice.

Mercedes has tested the halo and now they will continue without it.

Saniz is leading the lap chart with 22 so far.

If he gets times down to 18.4 he will have beaten Joe's time from qualification
Or a 1:21 to beat his race time

You have remind that the track temperature is not the same, and it is the first time he is driving this car. You cannot compare them so directly.

+1

And rather than comparing times I am pretty sure Renault just wants to make sure he (more specifically - his arm) can withstand full race distances. Speed-wise he had already proven himself as a good driver before the injury, and will most definitely be able to match the other drivers in no time.

Hat tip to Lando Norris in the McLaren too, 57 laps and splitting the Ferraris for times. Usual disclaimer for testing, low fuel, high fuel, engine turned up to 11 etc.

Maybe McLaren should think about replacing Vandoorne with Norris asap. He's just as quick, without any experience at all.

Mclaren needs change many things, and Vandoorne is not one of them.

Doesn't anyone watch the European Formula 3 championship ? Norris is a rookie in there and is definitely the fastest for raw pace. Just needs to iron out some wrinkles in his decision making and he will be great. Like I said yesterday Lando is Lewis2.0
GoLandoGo
Lewis v2.0
King George has arrived.
