From the looks of it, Lewis has cruised away from Max and is now managing his pace. Easy win if there's no misfortune.

Another too easy WDC for Mercedes, hum, Hamilton.
Too easy?? They were pushed very hard. Its just they pushed Ferrari beyond the breaking limit
Mercedes just had a bad start to the season, which made everybody believe Ferrari had a chance. Look at the pole lap here, 0,5s faster and people are still believing in it...
Nah, Ferrari was genuinely the better car initially. Mercedes just seems to have won the development war.

It signifies how majestic that W08 really is. Best chassis, best aero, best reliability. Those traits wins you championships. Add to that the best driver behind the wheel. Ferrari being outdeveloped.

Wow you guys are fickle. One swallow does not make a blow^Wsummer.

Just because the Mercedes performs well in Japan, doesn't mean it performs well everywhere. We saw the same level of domination in the other circuit that's the same style of high speed sweeper curves - Silverstone.

It's not that the Mercedes is the best car across the board, it's simply that it's phenomenal at high speed sweeper corners, and this circuit has a lot of them.

Too depressed to think about the WDC.

One thing I think is (slightly) interesting: can ‘t remember the last time I’ve seen so many overtakes in Suzuka; you’d think the opposite with these cars and, whilst it’s partly cars out of position , usually much harder to get past - DRS or no.

They'll pit him later around where the 2-stoppers pit 2nd time.

Nah. He'll burn his tyres getting to him

Plus on the last lap, he only gained 3 hundreths. He will need over 300 laps to get to him. Not sure the tyres will last

We will never know Vettels true pace with those temperatures.

True. Since Spanish GP/Canada Mercedes has become faster, clearly for me, but with some infortunate weekend + Merc inconsistency Ferrari stay alive throughout the year

Redbull (Max) look uncharacteristically strong on the soft tire... gap is closing slowly and i doubt they are going to stop again. Maybe just RB running more aggressive vs Hamilton conserving tires to not run into problems later?

Ps: kimi looks quite strong considering where he started....
Not for nothing, Rosberg's Championship is the only thing that lends credibility to Hamilton's recent success. Otherwise, he'd just be the guy who's had the best car. — bhall II

You are forgetting about Hamilton's tyre degradation. All he needs to do is keep Hamilton out of operating temperature window. Then he might stand a chance.

Always find the gap then use it.
