Yes, the tire and chassis do not care about the direction of the input shaft.

If you installed planetary gearsets on the rear axle stubs of a dragster, such that the wheels would turn in the opposite direction of the driveshafts, and then pulled that dragster up to a starting line, and put the transmission into Reverse, would you still be able to pull a wheelie when the lets go green?
