Depends what his opinion on Pascal is. While at Mercedes, Paddy would have seen all the data on Pascal he needed

If Paddy has so much influence, who would Paddy hire from the available candidates?
He is the team principal n investor, he should have this influence to lead the team. I guess Kvyat. He wants a young driver for long term development, with proven potential.

As Bobby K is considered only as good prospect-past-his-prime around here, I guess its worth reminding what has supposedly been Kubica's main advantage over other top class drivers during his F1 stint AND in following years (rumor has it he was responsible for simulatior work for Mercedes since 2012)- his garrage workload, technical understanding of a car and development skills. That could be an important factor, especially now that Paddy is on board. With young Stroll put firmly in the other car, You could do with a capable engineer-driver who just happened to be one of the very best of his generation (as stated by the likes of Alonso, Hamilton and Rosberg). Even assuming he can't be as fast and/or consistent as he used to be (which i doubt as he has gained success and massive experience in other motorsport series over those six years), he would be still a valuable asset for the team with his work ethic and development skills. I think that can be the missing part in a Williams Racing Team puzzle they have been seeking those last few seasons and a most important factor in Kubica- Williams cooperation deal.

Button himself said on C4's F1 coverage of a recent race that he isn't interested in returning to F1 again!!
Favourite driver: Lando Norris
Favourite team: McLaren

Turned down the chance to meet Vettel at Silverstone in 2007. He was a test driver at the time and I didn't think it was worth queuing!! 🤦🏻‍♂️

Exactly, Massa had no interest in 2017 but look what happened.

Circumstances change, so never say never

Not the same, massa was offered no choice n he was not competitive with the former rule, failed to beat his team mate, not because he was not interested in f1. While button has only obviously lost to Alonso for one season only. He even beat Hamilton for more than one season.
Very unlucky massa couldn’t have claimed one more victory due to suspension failure, paddy claimed he could have won with good margin according to telemetry data

What ? Button says he has no interest in F1 for 2018, and your talking about Massa's suspension ?? Im saying Felipe said he was done, and retired, yet came back for another year as someone managed to persuade him. And im saying Jenson could easily come back if someone were to persuade him. Never say never

And Jenson has lost over a season to team mates , and he disnt beat Hamilton for more than 1 season in the same car.

Here are the team mates who beat Jenson over a season as team mates.

Ralf Schumacher x 1
Giancarlo Fisichella x 1
Rubens Barrichello x 1
Lewis Hamilton x 2
Fernando Alonso x 1

I meant while button may need someone to persuade but massa doesn’t, as massa simply didn’t want to stop, he was forced to, so when there is a seat, he comes back, need no one to perusade. So button is harder to come back, really need strong persuasion.

O yes your info is correct, I just didn’t follow that long. Sorry for that.

Heads Up-- Netflix recently added the movie "Williams" to its streaming selection, at least in the U.S.

Great movie. Goes into F1, Frank, and family issues within the last "owner/operator" team in F1.

I was surprised to see the full movie on YouTube days after release. It was still there quite recently too.
