Air measurement pitot tubes. Probably for testing increased air pressure at the airbox inlet due to the new thru-hole wing.

I guess it means they haven't tried any aero bits and they were working on setup. It's beautifully worded so that no-one is entirely clear what they've been doing.

Has anyone heard if the new ferrari nose actually works and does anyone if the Honda elephant bits and the rear wing work this time as they have tried both before and not run them.

Have McLaren given up on '08? Lewis Hamilton is a full two seconds slower than Alonso during testing (granted I don't know if they were on slicks or not).

I don't see how they can afford to lose the WDC this year. I'd be pretty bummed out if I were Lewis, it doesn't look like he's with a competitive team anymore.
I love to love Senna.

Perhaps Lewis is testing various steering wheel knob layouts

Not just slicks and Monza-spec wings. It's the last year's nose too.

F2008 sans a lot of gear. looks nice to me.
but what is the point of so much rear wing?
Formula One's fundamental ethos is about success coming to those with the most ingenious engineering and best .............................. organization, not to those with the biggest budget. (Dave Richards)

I suspect Mclaren is struggling with tyres problems, maybe more so with the softer compound tyres. If you noticed, both Mclarens were very quick during qualifying at Sepang and Bahrain, but during the race, they are struggling to overtake the slower cars.

And that probably explain why they are concentrating on race distant rather than quick laps.

I suspect that may be an effect of the low angle and lack of mid-wing things.

Mclarens seem to be looking at the airflow over their 'testing' front wheel fairing which is making me wonder if its going to become a permenant fixture?
