Haas VF-17 Ferrari

A place to discuss the characteristics of the cars in Formula One, both current as well as historical. Laptimes, driver worshipping and team chatter do not belong here.

What is the purpose of these new flow conditioners in the barge board area, could you elaborate this to us?
And they call it a stall. A STALL!

Unsurprisingly, quite similar to Ferrari.
They also have two slightly different front wings for Mexico:

dont think so, it is about separating two different turbulent flux sources
vortexes from front wheels must be kept separated from sidepods so the board is present
but at same time also vortexes coming from the barge boards must be expelled due to its vorticity ( front wing y-vortex ) so side openings are present

Imho in the Regulations it is written that when looking up from unter the Floor no Bodywork must be visible. These slots match the Slots in the Floor below if you look closely, making that Part legal because you can't see it from underneath the Car.
