Toro Rosso STR13 Speculation Thread

A place to discuss the characteristics of the cars in Formula One, both current as well as historical. Laptimes, driver worshipping and team chatter do not belong here.

Since when did the STR 13 change into the Renault R17 / R18? Discussing the RS 17 /18 belongs in the appropriate thread. So a number of off topic posts have been removed.

Maybe it's the angle and the livery creating an illusion but those sidepods look tiny.

Where did you find the pic?

Well, this is the Honda validation car, so maybe that's where the bulk of the dev money goes. Sidepod leading edge has a unique shape.

Very similar to last year’s Porsche 919:

McLaren style pullrod
Enormous pitot (maybe for testing)
Bargeboard looks not basic
Crashstructur in the sidepods is extremely shaped from this view, maybe a Sauber solution?

Where here are the sidepod inlets? I'm blind?

Floor looks nicely complex from side shots (saw it on insta... still can’t work out how to post pics  ) I think this car is deceivingly simple.

Bit of a rake, last year they had none.
Still looks like they kept the short wheelbase, shortest last year. Sidepods does look very narrow. Given the large airbox they must have very different cooling arrangement to Mclarens. 30 mins now.
