BMW Sauber F1.08 DID NOT have front & rear wheel rim shields for Australia and Malaysia . Nevertheless F1.08 experimented in wheel rim shields during Winter testing and possibly will be used in next races

BMW Sauber presented a new nose cone for Barcelona April test , much flatter and very similar to F1.07 used last year . The viking nose cone horns were also removed . Probably the new nose will be only used in low downforce circuits such as Monza and the old nose with the Viking horns will be retained for higher downforce circuits . The new nose cone end features also a hole , on the contrary the old nose cone end did not .

i think they just used last year's monza spec nosecone and front wing.. remember 2009 df levels are close or similar to monza's, and its too early for the teams to show their monza packages for this year, if they've even finished workin on them... i doubt this nose will ever appear in any of the gp's this season.

Correct, its last years nose, just with a new paint job.

The wheelrims are fairly unique I think as they fill the whole interior of the wheel. Could it be that those shields were just decoys to hide their wheels?

FRONT WING BAHRAIN

BMW Sauber used during Friday practice a wider and with a higher angle attack second flap for Bahrain so as to increase the front downforxe levels . Others teams also followed similar solutions ( Renault , Toyota ) . For race and Qualify the team chose to use the lower downforce wing spec

I am not sure if anybody has noticed this. It appears BMW have modified their rear-wing. In Spanish GP they had the twin-pillars for thier rear-wing. This was not the case until Bahrain GP.

The twin-pillars are pretty much a standard for most of the F1 teams, except for BMW. But now BMW seems to have adopted this standard.

Check these pictures:

I am sorry but these are the best quality images I could find. formula1.com has clear pictures.
Thanks,

Yes, they don't shatter into pieces when the driver turns through the Campsa corner... :D
