Am I alone - in finding many of the current designs shown here recently, to be somewhat over-styled?

Seems to be a bit of style resemblance between this Bertone Lancia concept, & a pink cartoon show vehicle.

in good Kiwi style - riding a Massey Ferguson farm

I don't remember seeing it yet, but since I saw one this past weekend, thought I'd add it: Vector W8

Yeah the Vector, very Gandini-esque, that one too..

As saloon cars go ive always had a soft spot for the MG ZT. Classically British and butch looking. It certainly commands road presence in the age of dull rep cars.

How about something older with less doors? Jenson Interceptor... Not a MG but very butch, very British.

Sure, although I'm not huge fan of older cars, but this was a car that stood out amongst the post 2000 dullness for me, and it was award winning for its looks. It might not have been the best car in its class (which isn't required to be good looking anyway), but it was a good car, and its owners loved them.

Pusateri's 1979 sand buggy has nice lines combined into the triangulated structure, a very minimal tube structure wrapped around two occupants with some triangulation mixed in, admittedly appearing weak at the a pillar base.

Sort of, i used read hot vws sand car editions in the 80's and Mazzone chassis combined with all the flouro powder coating and polished alloy, the cherry on top being a bored out vw motor with big twin choke carbs as the centre piece.
Loved it.
