A great collection of videos, thank you for putting them up.
I can remember reading a book as a child about the Mille Miglia, I think, where Ascari or Nuvolari had to stop for a 'leak' otherwise there was a big risk of damaging the bladder!

Dear friend, I imagine you are Italian. The majority of the members of this forum perhaps had not even been born when they ran Targa Florio and for them it means nothing. Porsche called "Targa" a car model to remind to the world of its victories in that race. Raced there all of them were champions of the past,Nuvolari, Varzi, including Stirling Moss (Aston Martin?), Rodriguez brothers, Vic Elford, Rolf Stommelen, Bandini, Scarfiotti,Ickx, Phil Hill etc. I also want to post footage of young British pilots from England who took their car to a cart to participate in this fabulous race.
The lap (72 km, plus 900 turns) record of the Targa Florio (33 minutes and 41 seconds) is still held by Helmut Marko.
See also Daniel Ricciardo, on old Alfa Romeo 33, who wanted to experience the thrill of driving on the streets of the "Targa"

For those who don't speak Italian I have a 41 minute video covering the 1965 "Mountain Legend" or a trimmed down 17 minute version if anyone wants.

No, Australian , but love things that go fast :D

And thank you for these youtube links.

Great to see Daniel Ricciardio driving the T33 (was it?)
I have tried to get more interest in the drivers side of things in this forum, but not much interest, unfortunately.
