Article on floor developments by Ferrari and refers to McLaren's solution
While Ferrari is not the only team to utilise the enclosed tyre squirt holes - as a glance down the grid shows most other teams are doing so also - it is the only team that has specifically designed its cars around this concept.
Image
Other teams have spotted what Ferrari has been up to, and have made moves to seal off the edges of their previous slots - as can be seen in the McLaren image above.

This is far from an optimised solution though, and means that Ferrari has stolen a march on its rivals in the short term

Expect Ferrari's rivals to come up with more bespoke solutions when the raft of major updates appears from the Spanish Grand Prix.

Are we expecting a new floor for Barcelona ??

this article is pretty silly because the MCL33 was the first to exploit this loophole with its long floor slits that everyone was screaming was illegal at launch.

Yep, especially when it specifically uses the Mclaren as an example #-o

Can anyone tell me if SV raced with or without the vortex generators on the sidepods? I know he did a practice without them but not sure about the race

With. I think he only did tests in FP1 without em. I wonder if they did it to experiment with low drag

A friend, that works somewhere...but if you check back a year or two you'll see he's been right pretty often ;)
What I don't know is if they're new designs or just replacements for damage.

3 of the same spec or 3 different versions?

i guess it would be logical that its one new design with 3 copies for two primary cars and one backup.

So has the rule about holes been deleted?

no, it just doesn't apply this year because of wider floors

so they widened the floor but didn't widen the floor hole rule. wow FIA, just wow.

Is this car really that draggy? It's hard to believe just looking at it, of all the cars it has the most minimalistic bargeboard area, it has one of the smalles sidepod/air intake openings, it doesnt have all kind of appendages stuck to it.

Is the lack of top speed more related to some internal cooling problems? Not allowing them to run the engine at its fullest? I think it could be the case. And maybe that's why they had to postpone the major update till Spain, because they found out about their cooling problems in pre season testing, and revising the entire cooling package takes time.
Image

All other things neglected, their side pods (i.e. internal aero) isn't as sophisticated as Red Bull's, seeing how wide side pods are. That's more frontal area and that's more drag by default. Again, just this, nothing else.
And they call it a stall. A STALL!
