Lotus T127 Cosworth

A place to discuss the characteristics of the cars in Formula One, both current as well as historical. Laptimes, driver worshipping and team chatter do not belong here.

Fantastic CFD image, now we can see how the front wing works. Some air outside, some over the tyre, some inside the tyre

Those look like non-rotating tyres.

T125 Exos was done by the same people that do the Lotus Production cars (Exige, Elise, pattern emerges).

The T127 was done by the group that is now Caterham.

Unrelated to each other. Confusing by choice or chance, I do not know.

Lotus gave a license to the now Caterham Team to run with the teamname Lotus Racing, so T127 was a factory designated name,

we have the T125 Exos, so where is the T126?

In this image there are two McLaren badged parts. Wondering whether those were something 'standard' for all of the cars that season, or maybe something Lotus licensed? Maybe an outright McLaren box? Apologies if I missed it being mentioned earlier...

Really appreciate getting to see all of this stuff. I can't remeber having had access to so much for a modern F1 car.

They are standard Mclaren sensors present on every car.
