Alfa Romeo Sauber F1 C37

A place to discuss the characteristics of the cars in Formula One, both current as well as historical. Laptimes, driver worshipping and team chatter do not belong here.

Slightly different brake ducts tried in testing.
I'm not sure, impossible to find two photos with the same viewing angle.

Alfa Romeo money is used properly, nice development direction. You gotta love this team.
And they call it a stall. A STALL!

Interesting detail. I wonder if we'll see anyone else pick that up.

That's Ferrari 2016/2017 slightly modified. Meanwhile, Ferrari went for Red Bull style diffuser, which is very close to what Mercedes does as well.
And they call it a stall. A STALL!

Didn't mean to comment on lineage--perhaps I should have been more specific. The RW endplate supports directly forming part of the main gurney (the gurney breaks through that section to accommodate it); the gurney then continuously curving forward toward diffuser throat/rear axle.

So Sauber partially blocked off the area around the upper sidepod inlet. Looks like it would still recieve air from the main front-facing inlet. Have they done this at other venues?

It does look like half last year's Ferrari and half what every one else is running now.

I believe that was a first.

This car could benefit greatly from Halo mounted mirrors. It would do a lot for their cooling to move the mirror out of the way of the upper inlet.
For Sure!!
