Well, I think it's a combination of getting the softest tyres to work and very high drag.

It's a combination of terrible front and back. It's probably one of the worst chassis McLaren has ever produced.

Currently behind a Sauber.

Well I didn't expect them to do good, but being a second slower than Renault, they are a joke and they should get rid of Peter Pomodrou, Matt Morris and Eric Boullier. What's next? McLaren being the slowest car on track?

Mclaren is not making the hypers work. They were 7 tenths faster than Toro Rosso on the ultras.

Excuses. Excuses. They were 1 second slower than Renault, that 100hp of engine deficit, that does not work anymore. Everyone is using the same tyres and they were the team that ran with hypersoft throughout the winter testing so what excuses does Erik have. Dont fool yourself into thinking its a tyre issue, its the car, fundamentally slow, slower than FI with dead engines and Sauber. Thats just depressing. Sack the entire lot of clowns.

Also race pace is poor, dunno what saw in the laptimes. Only Sauber maybe slower.

It's time to face the music. Dumping honda was a HUGE failure from McLaren management. Outpaced by ... pretty much everyone... Honda and Renault a side, the car is very, Very, compromised. Greetings to Matt Morris and his comments on great engine integration and no compromises... We have new Williams here.
