Do F1 cars have an ancillary alternator?

All that has to do with the power train, gearbox, clutch, fuels and lubricants, etc. Generally the mechanical side of Formula One.

I think you guys are over thinking it.
The K is a motor and a generator. If you simply switch it, it can do exactly what you're talking about (as can the H), seemingly simultaneously, but in reality at 20-40Hz, as has been suggested in other threads.
