Classic Races

Post

As the title says...

Does anyone watch the classic races that SkyF1 show most evenings.

Currently on is Canada 2012.

Yes, watch them all, with fresh eyes the 'golden years' rarely, if ever meet the expectations raised by nostalgia. Almost all of the 80s were boring in my opinion.

Canada 2012 a classic race? Oh dear.

Then this must be prehistoric....

I think classic as in the older races rather then "Classic" races

To quote the meme: nostalgia isn't what it once was...

Pick just about any season and you will be able to say "this race was a classic". Doesn't make F1 at the time "the best ever" or "yay, it was so great". The reality is that most races are fairly dull unless your favoured driver/team is doing well.

Ouch, 2012 old..... rub the salt a bit deeper.

Just getting to terms with the fact that Kim Wilde is no longer a kid in America. :D

And by the way I did not want to say that racing was better in the past. Cause it wasn't.

I have many many Gbs of old races and racing so I don't need SKY.
I wouldn't call 2012 old let alone classic. I've got tee shirts older than that.

2012 Canada was a good race, but there are better classics in my opinion.
With three months of off season we have time to revisit some of the most memorable ones, and having a nice collection helps :)

Nah...just vintage!!
Favourite driver: Lando Norris
Favourite team: McLaren

Turned down the chance to meet Vettel at Silverstone in 2007. He was a test driver at the time and I didn't think it was worth queuing!! 🤦🏻‍♂️
