Lewis drove that lap like he was on provisional pole and not P2, even an average sector 2 would've been enough, just don't get it.

Its confirmed the Red BUlls will be starting last due to a engine change right?

If not, it would've been a good race to watch if the RB's were at the start next to the Ferrari's that would lead to some good racing. I was slightly disappointing with Ferrari's pace. Maybe hiding a trick?

Let's hope and see for some good action tomorrow!

You're thinking several corners ahead at each corner you're at so that kind of mess up would have likely put his focus completely off to continue.

The first four on the grid are exactly as I predicted in an earlier post.

Bottas king of Sochi! Shame for Ham, was 3 tenths up.
He was overdriving so he has gone wide. These two mistakes make me thing he has lost some concentration. He may think he was clearly faster but...

Ferrari has problems. Since SPA they have progressively lost performance and underperforming in tracks where they were theoretically faster.

Ferrari has clearly fallen behind Merc in the pecking order. Tremendous effort by Bottas, if anyone can stop Lewis tomorrow, he can.

Have Mercedes figured out the Ferrari battery software cheat alongside aero improvements?
Nope. It is all in the tyres. Mercedes smoother into corners and on the power earlier according Johnny Herbert. Ferrari much more powerful in second acceleration phase so they still will be a big threat at the start and we know that this track is hard to overtake on so it is not over by a long shot.

Almost a half second off Mercedes pace, and that only gets worse as the laps stack up. My hypothesis is if Ferrari cant stay out, their problem may not be Mercedes, but the midfielders who trail in their tow. KMag had a OK Quali session, and if Red Bull can work their way up to Ferarri, it may put them into a danger zone.

This race looks like it might unfold to be somewhat interesting, let's find out!

Vettel's championship hopes are now hanging on a Hamilton's start, if he gets away well this is over.

Disappointing showing from Lewis. Now he's alongside Vettel, and he will show no mercy. After the first sector Hamilton didn't need to push at all. Oh well...

I fear they are already gone.
