Disgraceful mercedes. Disgusting.
Lewis will give one back after the title is over.

Great result, stick it to em.

Cant fault Hamilton really. Happy he wasnt celebrating. But yeah, i expected more of Mercedes, more of Toto.

But who knows, it does perhaps shed some insight on how strong they perceive Ferrari to be over the next 5 races.
Definitely. I hate it when they are blaming Hamilton. WTF guys? He drove a marvellous race as well, with a fantastic overtake.

As I said, I think it was a good idea mid race to switch, but IMO they should make it double at the end. They know better though.
what did Toto whisper into Bottas' ear? Most probably a promise of a win later in the season or extra bonus or contract extension

The real issue right now is reliability. Hamilton's radio about losing power doesn't sound good, considering how early spec 3 engines came out.

From slamming Bottas in the forums the whole year how he doesn't deserve the seat and how he's slow blah blah to slamming the team for doing the safest thing with 5 races to go ... the irony. I would've switched them back personally but at the end considering how good Ferrari's reliability has been, better safe than sorry.
Totally agree. Bottas isn't in a position to be WC this year, he isn't even employed by Mercedes to become WC. His job is to make them constructor champion with HAM and help HAM to become WC drivers. At least Mercedes isn't doing it sneaky.
Yeah, this would've been totally unacceptable earlier in the season. 5 races to go and a little slip could see both championships go. Ferrari would have done the same. Again, I'd personally switch but considering how strong Ferrari are, Merc are going as aggressive as possible.
The fun thing is by the way, after the same amount of GP's to last year, Hamilton has the exact same amount of points (and that with one DNF!), Vettel was 59 points behind then.

maybe that is why they were so keen to give Lewis the position, a possible penalty in the next races?

Well at least it was done in a transparent way. If Hamilton had legitimately passed Bottas, everyone would be speculating over team orders anyway. :P

Not for nothing, Rosberg's Championship is the only thing that lends credibility to Hamilton's recent success. Otherwise, he'd just be the guy who's had the best car. — bhall II

At least there is something to be angry about on this forum again, especially in a race where VER didn't hit anyone! (but VET had a great attempt to do a Schumacher on HAM in the wall)

Guess that's it for the WDC. Vettel 50 points down, no chance. Terrible race only position change at the front thanks to team orders. Poor Bottas sacrificed for 10 points more instead of 3.
You miss Hamilton mug Vettel in to T4 or 5 ? Seb cracked instantly under pressure at T13 which put Lewis right on him and Vettel out of Bottas DRS.
You missed Merc-Slave giving Ham a big toe at the start? Else Ham would have been 3rd at the beginning. ;)
Your point ? I was stating there was a genuine overtake at the front

James mentioned on the radio that it was because of a blister, but the engine is definitely in the mix.

There is a chance that Mercedes is not comfortable with their engine reliability, so maybe Ham starts from the back at some point to be sure, so they want to be as far ahead they can.

Did anyone just see Lewis and Valtteri on the podium right before the champagne? Id swear it looks like they were joking about swapping trophies for the photo op after the spray. Valtteri was even smiling. Genuinely.

Still. Mercedes dog act. Great team, blindingly fast car, amazing in season development, near perfect harmony and team dynamics.

Still, a good a race with a poor finish.

Yes. But there is a guy on forum that keeps saying that Sauber/Haas are moving immediately out of the way for Ferrari. That Hamilton needs to fight with guys like Force India or so... (forgetting Monaco obviously)
Yeah and I was talking about Haas and Sauber against ferrari for position , not backmarkers you plonker.
Trolling, insulting... too bad that Facebook users are invading this forum. Because your comments and hate towards ferrari are Facebook like comments.

Ferrari's performance and tyre management seem to have gone out the window at the same time as their bag of pre-race dry ice was banned by the FIA. Coincidence?
dry ice? what did i miss?
Ferrari used to have a bag of over the camera on the rollover hoop while on the grid before races. The FIA banned it before Monza.
