Also, there's a typhoon on the south of Japan. Who knows if it will hit Japan.

Didnt exactly this already hurt them in Singapore?
Ferrari has been really one note with their tire choices and it has compromised them some.

Maybe in Suzuka it will be ok because i think the options are rather conservative.
Still no reason to limit yourself in this way.

I know and I was surprised the FIA would allow that :D

Hamilton will be a beast here if it rains.

Same situation with the tyres. Let's see how painful it'll be this time for Ferrari.
Same here, I wouldn´t be surprised if they hardest option is again the best tyre for the race. And once again, Ferrari has only one.

I guess that when they choosed this option their tyre management was better.

Mercedes seems to be stronger with rain but giving the 50 points disavantage, I think Ferrari will be happy if we have a we race.

Surely, only rain can save Ferrari from what looks an extreme tyre choice. I really wonder why they've been going so far out with the softest tyres, its strange.
A pretty fundamental tyre problem might be driving this. Perhaps its getting into the right heat range, perhaps its resonance, who knows.

Hamilton is stronger in the rain than Vettel. But Vettel needs a few DNF's of Hamilton to still have a shot at the title. In the rain the risk of a DNF is higher then in the dry, so even Vettel will hope for rain. On the other hand, can't remember the last time Hamilton didn't win a wet GP.

I agree with Jolle. As a Hamilton fan, I'd want a boring, predictable weekend, no rain, little as risk as possible. Rain is the opposite. Even if you'd assume Hamilton to be the best wet driver, the chance for a DNF or chaos is a lot higher even for him too.
Not for nothing, Rosberg's Championship is the only thing that lends credibility to Hamilton's recent success. Otherwise, he'd just be the guy who's had the best car. — bhall II

In Germany both Mercedes were being faster than Seb until he crashed. But yes, Hamilton is particularly fast. Anyway as I don´t rate Bottas a great wet driver it was clear that the car itself is good under those conditions.
