Some curbs have been added to turn 1 as well.
The FIA has also added new kerbs at the exit of Turn 1 in a bid to deter drivers from running wide there.
LOL, most drivers I see running wide at turn 1 are doing so because there is a fast moving object coming at them from inside the corner.

Also, please tell me no one has seen Michael Buffer on the way to the track this year! [-o<

Yup, T1 isn't a go wide to be faster corner, it's a go wide to avoid someone dive bombing you on the inside corner. Putting a curb there to punish people trying to avoid having their races ruined by damage is a joke. of course if the consequence is damage caused from collisions from dive bombers finally gets severe penalties and potentially stops people doing it so recklessly so often... then it might not be all bad.

Qualy is slippery when wet.

Today is as bad as it gets, qualifying will be a little damp, it's going to be very entertaining because the track could be just dry enough for slicks, or just damp enough for inters. Cool weather and no rain on Sunday.

That looks like a safety hazard to me. A good way to break the suspension and send a car airborne.

Heheh! Proper wickedness in high places against drivers who love cutting corners, like Max, Vettel, Grosjean, Magnussen and Ricciarddo.

Interesting device. Anyone just getting the line wrong slightly could find themselves in the armco visible just in the right of the picture...
