And here we go again... Let's hope that since he's leaving it will actually materialize... [-o< [-o<
Based on past records apart from the first time he left Renault I think every team has left has been better the following year

Could they use a custom engine or do they have to run honda or Chevrolet
I guess they have to run one of two, including the aero package.
Aero package is universal now, no longer by manufacturer.

They don't have the supplier specific aero packages anymore.
So it’s basicly a true spec series now?
Yes. Ever since the introduction of the new chassis at the beginning of this year the cars are all the same.
Chassis are all the same, apart from setup.
Engines are still different (though not a lot currently).

As much as I like the papaya I wish they’d done something more colourful like this from day one. Aside from looking much more visually striking it makes the lack of sponsorship on the engine cover less obvious!

this actually gives a pretty awesome look on how the livery might had looked like if Mclaren would have had a BMW engine in the back 8)

This livery looks much better to be honest.

Well, people have started to act like the 2017 chassis wasn't good, but if you look at the times of this years chassis and take the new engine and tires in consideration it's obvious that it was a much, much better car. Red Bull quality? No, but it was probably 4th fastest.

Also, given the circumstances (lack of running pre & in-season, chaos in MTC), the development curve was quite steep. They were not wrong to say the Mcl32 would go a second faster with the Renault engine. Maybe even 1.5 with the Merc.

This. If they come up with a chassis of that quality in 2019, they should be in the hunt for 4th in WCC.

Two years in F1 for a driver out-qualified and out-raced by his teammate 99% of the time.

But they're loosing Alonso so it will be much harder.
