Can't be mourning much about that.

The entire Williams team is a mess and laugh.
The only real solution will be giving Claire the boot.
Atleast Sauber finally took appropriate action and ousted Kaltenborn. You'd think people'd take note but i guess not.
Anyway, a lot of change needs to happen at Williams, so really, not mourning Beer leaving.
When you target Claire then Kaltenborn...you start to sound like a sexist. Add that Claire doesn't go to all GPs. In 2018 they added Patty Lowe from Merc as CFO to rebuild....well your comments are 1 year 2 late.
No, they're actual due to poor Williams leadership.
It's Paddy lowe, Not Patty, Paddy is a man.
Claire not going to all GP's is prime example of bad leadership.
I couldn't care less that you think i sound sexist.
It's clear as day that there have been no capable female teamleaders in the sport.
Just as it's clear as day there is no capable female to compete in F1.
hence why they even need to make an entire woman series.

If you think that makes me sexist, again, i couldn't care one iota.

There were some new hirings from Mercedes and McLaren at Williams in the past months. Unfortunately I didn't take a note about position and time.
How is it you found out above these moves? Interesting to see that engineers are leaving Mercedes for Williams...can only expect they are getting greater exposure

Mercedes deny trying to sign Binotto from Ferrari according to planetf1.

Was he not only linked to Mercedes and Renault. Feels like that he will remain at Ferrari in the end.

To progress, you either wait for someone above you to move, or go outside, often with the intention of returning higher up the tree.
When arguing with a fool, be sure the other person is not doing the same thing.

No, it's an a example of her handing over the reins to Paddy.

Claire Williams is head of whole company, not just the racing team. You can’t lead a company with serval hundreds of employees and multiple projects from a racing track entertaining sponsors.

so was kaltenborn, and doing the same cr*p job at it.

yet other teams manage to do so pretty well.
for example, Otmar Sfaznauer. Just to name one.
Even without Vijay Mallya around, the team did, and does great.
an example of capable people.

Sauber was in shatters thanks to Monisha. She got ditched, replaced, and look where they're now.
Williams is in absolute shambles. The ONLY moment they had it going well for a moment was when somebody capable
stirred around the pot a bit; Toto Wolff, whom had a huge own interest in the team. When he pulled his hands, it went downward fast.

again, clear example that Claire is uncapable for this job.
And by the way, i've been saying that for years, more than 2 years ago already.

But what is it they are doing so badly. She doesn't design the cars and the drivers she had in the car while not amazing are equally not awful we just hate stroll because of daddies money but he has managed more in F1 in a worse car than someothers.

The guy before Paddy, his name escapes me, was well past his prime. The guy before that well...didn't have it.

I think Claire does not wants to run the technical team. Lowe is part owner and is there for that. It is my option that 2018 was a rebuilding year. I think it's on Paddy Lowe shoulders from here on out.

As far as Saubre is concerned...there was a huge change there ... I don't follow them that closely but I seem to remember a huge infuse of money and a change of ownership....she just wasn't new guys man. Don't think you can say there improvement was because of Kaltenborn's short Cummings. So much more changed.

Exactly, it's hard to go up in this world were there are only 10 places where you can work. Usually the easier to up is by changing places and getting a higher position every time.
Also, people in winning teams may want to change to get new challenges and help improve smaller teams

The rot had set in long, long, long before Claire got anywhere near the place.

Kaltenborn did a great job for multiple years, the team's finances shrunk year on year on year till they were a joke. The biggest reason Sauber have shot forwards massively is a HUGE injection of cash from Ferrari both themselves and through Alfa. Alfa are said to have upped their budget by around 50million last year and are doubling that this year and because Ferrari decided to back a, well, B/C team in such a way they also gave them many more parts on the car which frees up a lot of their budget away from R&D for those parts and instead getting top tier parts off Ferrari.

Sauber today financially and in terms of relationship with Ferrari is completely unrecognisable from the team Kaltenborn left.

I think Claire is doing a poor job and making bad decisions, not having a tire specialist till iirc, late into 2016, is insane considering their primary problem throughout 2014/15 was amongst the worst tire wear on the grid. But to bash Kaltenborn because after she left Peter Sauber basically sold the team to a company with massively more money and the money is helping them make a much better car is not something i would do.

Edit Thunder: reworded the End, please don't be offensive to others.
