F1 2019 Pre-Season Testing Thread

Post

So I've just read that the 2019 winter testing in Barcelona will be shown live on F1 TV. Now thats now available in the Uk so I'm guessing SkySportsF1 will show it live.

Anyone have any idea ?

Looks like testing will be televised this year but only on F1TV streaming or whatever the money grubbers call it.
Might get it on SKY in Canada or the UK but from the sounds of it, us ordinary blokes won't get to watch. :(

Once on TV, there will be streams available somewhere, I guess (or hope). :)

If you have Bell in Canada it will probably be on TSN GO as an extra stream, we'll know eventually I guess

Well, a bit less than 4 weeks left until the on-track action starts again! [-o< (Though, of course it's gonna get very exciting right after launches already. :))

I hope for better weather conditions this time. At this point the accuracy might be doubtable, but according to accuweather in both testing weeks temperatures will climb up to 14-16 degrees, with some rain here and there.

So still no UK coverage unless you pay for the SKY F1 package that is twice the price for 1 month that a whole 12 months costs everybody else!! Thanks Bernie

The Sky deal will kill F1's UK audience stone dead. Several million people watched a few years ago, Sky get a few hundred thousand now. Heck, More people watch Channel 4's 2018 Canadian GP highlight show than watched it live on Sky! A really sad state of affairs. Cheers Bernie, you little ****.

The Sky F1 deal has to be the worst deal Bernie ever made.

Channel 4 average viewing figures last year of 1.84 million per race
An average audience of 1.84 million viewers watched Channel 4’s race day programming in 2018, a decrease of 1.5 percent on their 2017 average of 1.87 million viewers. With 21 races of the calendar, Channel 4 aired eleven races as highlights and ten races live, the additional highlights programme deflating their average slightly.
Compared to the average Sky F1 UK TV audience of 669 thousand per race

There was no mention of it on the F1.com website and only an hours review show of the second test not the daily 8 hour coverage.

Thank you. I am more interested with times. Of course I like to see and listen cars too.

What deal are you referring to , as Sky have had F1 for 8 seasons this year. I think the Sky coverage is worth the money. £40 a month, and that includes all the Football, Cricket, Golf, F1 and plenty more.
