Haas VF-19 Ferrari

A place to discuss the characteristics of the cars in Formula One, both current as well as historical. Laptimes, driver worshipping and team chatter do not belong here.

No shot of the mid wing, not a clear one any way. Interesting they did what I suggested with their side pod deflectors. I wonder if connecting them to the mid wing will be a 2019 trend.

You can just catch a glimpse of the mid wing for a split second at the end of this video. One thing is obvious, the full surface area has been used.

Looks unchanged as of yet.
You sure about that?

Thanks for the pic btw, to me it definitely looks like they have more elements on their mid wing.
That image is not of the bargeboards Haas ended the last season with. Below was the latest 2018 spec I believe.

In my opinion 5 & 11 are just rendering glitches but it would be neat if they found a way to make that work.

Angle and wheel alignments seem a bit off?

so looking at the renders so far, its once again basically largely a modified replica ferrari from the previous year just like the 00s toyotas were...

Also, it looks as if a wider angle lens was used for the newer image.

Thanks again! You are right, the foot plate seems to be similar, with the main difference being the bargeboard appearing much more Ferrari 2018 like. Meaning there are slots at the top edge.

Can we please stop discussing the livery launch car (which is just a mockup / 2018 repaint)?

Air box looks different to last year. There must be some changes to the duct entering the compressor

Very interesting to see the wastegate-pipes on top of each other. Seems last season Ferrari actually tested this layout for 2019 when they put it just twice on their car. But let's wait for the official launch.

BBC reporting as if this is the new car... #-o
Favourite driver: Lando Norris

Turned down the chance to meet Vettel at Silverstone in 2007. He was a test driver at the time and I didn't think it was worth queuing!! 🤦🏻‍♂️

Well the one on the Renders could very well be Barcelona Spec, the physical one that was presented on the Livery Launch is just a Mock-up 2018/19 Hybrid.

That is why we ask just to discuss the Render here.
