Red Bull RB15

A place to discuss the characteristics of the cars in Formula One, both current as well as historical. Laptimes, driver worshipping and team chatter do not belong here.

In my eyes, the most AERO developed car so far (even better than the Mercedes), looking forward to see how this car will develop over the year, but out of the box.... dam it, it looks fast and angry, like a Red Bull! Pun intended

For me personally it's a bit hard to compare the sounds between 2 cars in different states of acceleration. One is trundling out of its pit box and the other is putting its power down on the actual track. They both sound phenomenal for the hybrids that they are but I really like the rough sounding characteristic of the Honda PU.

I kept reading that the 2019 rules would make it harder to run a high rake (due to defuser stalling at lower speeds) but that doesn't seem to be reflected in the designs. Have they found a way around this or was the premise false?

And that's even before potentially different microphones, eq, gain, compression etc etc etc...
Favourite driver: Lando Norris
Favourite team: McLaren

Turned down the chance to meet Vettel at Silverstone in 2007. He was a test driver at the time and I didn't think it was worth queuing!! 🤦🏻‍♂️

So narrow in the end, how Will Honda work with such a small place? the design is as aggressive and complex as we could expect.

Well they are running. No reports of it bogging down so far. It's also possible they increase bodywork width afterwards to increase venting of the hot air.
